MOUNTING GUIDELINES & LIMITATIONS

OVERHANG

We recommend even distribution of overhang on both sides, with a maximum of 4 hanging over each side.

The depth of the mount that the tower is hanging over should never be less than 2/3 the depth of the tower.

CLEARANCE

We suggest a clearance of 0.25” between the walls of the mount and the sides of the computer.

DEPTH

Depth will always refer to the distance from the front face of the computer to the back face.

Asset 4-2-100.jpg

The depth of the tower will be the part that overhangs from the mount if long enough.

PLACEMENT

It is recommended to keep computer towers at least 6” off the ground to greatly reduce dust and hair intake.

The back face of a computer should to have at least 10” of open space behind it to allow for heat to be expelled.

PERIMETER

To figure out the max perimeter for a computer tower in a Universal mount, add the width and height of the mount to the usable length of the strap. UNVM-125 comes with a strap with a usuable length of 19”. UNVM-300 and -600 come with a strap with a usuable length of 33.5”. You can extend the max perimeter by adding an extension strap (+19” usuable length).
